“Rara” translates to the weaving of a banig; a Philippine traditional mat. Pandanus leaves were harvested, dried, cut and woven by Philippine weavers then exported to Hawaii for the purpose of making Lauhala Lei. I sourced these woven beads at “The Swap Meet” in Oahu, Hawaii in 2023.
This design is my ode to the deep connection between Kapwa and Ohana – two powerful concepts that bridge the Philippine spirit with the warmth of Hawaiian family bonds. Each earring whispers tales of craftsmanship, heritage, and the unity of souls.
Woven with Love: More than jewelry; it's a tangible piece of ancestral reverence.
